TREIBMATIC Capstan Winches

The compact design, remote rope storage capability and freedom from rope spooling problems permit TREIBMATIC capstan winches to be installed in the restricted and often inaccessible space available in an Armoured Fighting Vehicle hull or beneath the floor of a Fire Rescue Vehicle.
The constant rope pull and speed over the entire rope length are a great advantage where critical rescue and recovery operations are being carried out.

The TREIBMATIC range starts with the TR 030 5-tonne and TR 080 8-tonne line pull winches. These are particularly suitable for installation in Armoured Personnel Carriers and Rescue Vehicles. The TR 200 20-tonne and 25-tonne line pull winches are used extensively for heavy wheeled vehicle recovery, and the TR 650 and TR 2000 winches with line pulls of up to 35 tonnes and 51 tonnes respectively are designed for installation in heavy recovery tanks.

Principle TREIBMATIC winch features:

Ease of installation:
The rope enters the TREIBMATIC winch at a fixed point so pay-on does not need to be considered. A fairlead can be fitted directly onto the winch if required.
As the rope pull does not vary over the entire rope length, the winch size and rope diameter can be optomised for the particular application.
The rope storage drum can be sited remotely from the winch

Increased rope life:
There is no contact between the rope turns on the capstans so the rope cannot be abraded or crushed
The rope cannot be tangled by powering out the rope - the winch stops driving automatically when there is no tension in the rope.
The winch stops automatically before the rope can be completely drawn off ther winch.

Ease of control:
The winch is controlled by a simple proportional electric remote control and the two-speed gearcharge is snatch-free.
